The headliner last weekend in my inbox from the NY Times was about the verdict of Officer Liang, and the Asian response.
At first, I thought, how unfortunate, and didn't bother to click on it. But the quite conscious decision to not click on it creeped up on me as I tried to distract my thoughts to lesser things, like if there were any new lifestyle vlogs in my subscription. So I clicked on it.

The verdict made me upset and it baffled me, and so did the varied responses from Asian Americans. It ironically made me realize how much I say I care, but how many times that I, too, have turned a blind eye to Asian American injustices. How can I complain about the lack of progress for my people when I don't even advocate for them myself?
