Today I want to briefly rant about a generalized group of "educators" I've come to despise. They are the numb generation of teachers and administrators who care more about how "underpaid" they are (they are not-- they make equal to or more than the national average, granted that so many underqualified people are becoming teachers, I would not be surprised if they made up a good chunk of that number), care more about complaining about the administration than their students, and negatively influence young learners through bad behavioral disciplinary practices. Thanks to YOUR selfish and apathetic attitude, students feel discouraged, disengaged, bully others, and fail in many ways they didn't have to fail.

"Teachers."
I personally know quite a number of teachers in the American public school system (not charters. While charters are another heated topic I'd love to rant about, I will save that for another time). Teachers who are just starting out and struggling, and teachers who have retired after 30+ years. To the ones that are starting out, I hope they are strong enough to slap the fast turnover rate upside its head (and initially understood going in that it was going to be difficult). I hate to say this, but statistically, as of last year, 40-50% of teachers leave within their first five years. To the ones that have done it, I hope they accomplished their years in the classroom feeling every nerve, not having felt "numb" to the leadership of their schools, state and federal policymakers, or beloved students.
